In Revelation 4, the apostle John enters through the spiritual open door that has been revealed to him, and the first sight that greets him is the Throne of God. John is ABOUT TO WITNESS THE COURTS OF HEAVEN AND WHAT WILL “SOON” OCCUR ON THE EARTH. The White Horse of Revelation is about to RIDE.
God is about to REDEEM the earth.
John’s description of God’s Throne radiates an extraordinary beauty, an indescribable splendor that exudes tranquility and peace. He perceives God Almighty majestically seated upon the Throne. Rather than detailing God’s appearance in literal terms, John employs vivid metaphors that evoke precious jewels and a magnificent rainbow.
The Jasper stone reflects the overwhelming glory of God, sparkling like a brilliant diamond that showcases His Divinity, Holiness, and Righteousness. 💎
The Sardius, with its striking red hue, symbolizes the sacrificial blood of Christ shed for humanity, epitomizing God’s incredible mercy and atonement for sin. ✝️💖
The vibrant green of the Emerald signifies ETERNAL LIFE, a promise that resonates through the ages. 🍃
The Rainbow, misappropriated in recent years, represents God’s everlasting Covenant of MERCY, a divine pledge never to flood the earth again. 🌈
John perceives God’s Throne as an awe-inspiring vision, overflowing with God’s boundless MERCY and GRACE.😲💖
Rev. 4:2: Immediately I was in the Spirit; and behold, a throne was standing in heaven, and One sitting on the throne. 3 And He who was sitting was like a jasper stone and a sardius in appearance; and there was a rainbow around the throne, like an emerald in appearance.
Then suddenly, the appearance of the Throne changes, and we see that God is about to pronounce judgment on an unrepentant, rebellious mankind. 🌩️
God holds a scroll in His Hand, sealed with seven seals. This Scroll is the Title Deed to Planet Earth. The only one deemed worthy to break the seals and unveil the Scroll is Jesus Christ, our Kinsman Redeemer. In the Garden of Eden, Adam relinquished the title deed of planet Earth to Satan through his capitulation to sin. Only a Kinsman Redeemer, born of a woman—Jesus Christ—possesses the AUTHORITY to REDEEM the earth back to God. This is the divine purpose that God has pursued for the past 6,000 years, culminating in the events described in the book of Revelation.
JUDGEMENT on Satan’s DARK KINGDOM commences with the opening of the Seals of Revelation.
What we notice as we READ THROUGH the book of Revelation is that the intensity of the Throne increases as we move from the beginning Seal judgments to the Trumpet judgments, to finally the Bowl judgments of God’s wrath. The judgments increase in intensity and devastation when there is no humility, no repentance and no regard for God whatsoever.
Revelation 4: 5 Out from the throne come flashes of lightning ⚡and sounds and peals of thunder.
In Revelation 6, the opening of the first four seals announces the FOUR horses of the apocalypse.🐎
In the era of ancient Rome, horses were regarded as formidable instruments of warfare. The people of John’s time recognized the White Horse as a symbol of Victory and Triumph. They were acutely aware of the power and might embodied by the riders of the four horses. As evidenced by the Thunder and Lightning emanating from God’s Throne in Revelation 4, humanity’s iniquities had reached their zenith; thus, divine judgment is at hand. The opening of the first four seals signifies “the beginning of sorrows.”
Not too long ago, I received a confirming dream/vision where I was climbing a mountain with a backpack. I was speaking to someone (probably the Holy Spirit🕊️), regarding the timing of the coming judgements. I heard the words “When sin reaches its zenith”.

Jeremiah 25: 15 This is what the Lord, the God of Israel, said to me: “Take from my hand this cup filled with the wine of my wrath and make all the nations to whom I send you drink it. 16 When they drink it, they will stagger and go mad because of the sword I will send among them.”
The WHITE HORSE OF THE APOCALYPSE
As soon as Jesus breaks the first seal, the first horse of the apocalypse out of the Gate is the Rider on the White horse.
Revelation 6:1: Then I SAW when the Lamb BROKE ONE OF THE SEVEN SEALS, and I HEARD ONE OF THE FOUR LIVING CREATURES SAYING as with a VOICE OF THUNDER, “Come.”
2I looked, and behold, a white horse, and he who sat on it had a bow🏹; and A CROWN (STEPHANOS) WAS GIVEN TO HIM, and he went out conquering and to conquer.
Who is the rider on the White horse of the apocalypse?
Revelation 6 vs Revelation 19
There are different views as to the identity of the rider on the White Horse in Revelation 6. Some people think he’s Jesus Christ. This is because Jesus Christ is seen in Revelation 19 also riding a White Horse. Others see this rider as the Christian spreading the Gospel throughout the earth. This is a very reasonable view and one that we thought was a strong possibility. But the most strongly held view in Christian teaching circles is that the rider on the White Horse in Revelation 6 is the antichrist (man of sin). After prayerful consideration, we on this blog hold to this third view.
The color white signifies peace, purity, goodness, and righteousness; nevertheless, numerous biblical scholars assert that this rider symbolizes a deceptive form of goodness or an illusory peace. The most popular view of the rider on the White horse is that he represents the MAN OF SIN (ANTICHRIST) from 2nd Thessalonians 2:1-12.
In Revelation 19, Jesus Christ is depicted as riding a White Horse, wielding a double-edged sword ⚔️ emerging from His mouth (Rhomphala), which symbolizes the Word of God. In this passage, Jesus is referred to as “FAITHFUL AND TRUE”. In contrast, the rider on the White Horse in Revelation 6 carries a bow🏹 rather than a sword. This rider embodies EARTHLY authority, distinguishing him from the heavenly figure represented in Revelation 19. Therefore, we believe that these two riders are NOT the same individual.
No arrows are mentioned. Scholars believe that this is because the rider on the white horse in Revelation 6 represents conquering through PEACE and DECEPTION, like the antichrist (MAN OF SIN), who will probably appear peaceful for the first 3.5 years of the 7-year Tribulation.
A Conquerors’ Crown (STEPHANOS) was GIVEN to the rider on the White Horse in Revelation 6. His authority does not originate with himself; instead, God gave him this authority. This fits with the rest of Revelation 6, where authority is “granted”. This also fits with chapter 13, where God allows the beast (man of sin/antichrist) to make war with the saints and “overcome” (Greek nikao) them (Rev. 13:7). This is the same Greek word used in verse 2 to refer to the rider “conquering” (Greek nikao). The Stephanos (conquer/overcome) was a wreath awarded to the victor in ancient athletic games. In Revelation 19, Jesus is wearing MANY CROWNS (DIADEMS) OR ROYAL CROWNS. JESUS CHRIST IS KING 👑AND HIS AUTHORITY COMES FROM HIMSELF BECAUSE JESUS IS GOD. (Revelation 19:12, John 1:1).
Jesus Christ is in HEAVEN, opening the seals. He is NOT the rider on the White Horse, traversing the EARTH in pursuit of conquest.
The seals in Revelation follow a similar order as the birth pangs in Matthew 24 and Luke 21 (deception, war, plague, famine). Since seals 2 and 3 include very similar imagery such as war and famine, the first horse must be deception🐎to match Matthew 24. This is probably the most compelling proof that the rider on the white horse is the antichrist. 😈
Matthew 24: 4 And Jesus answered and said to them, “See to it that no one misleads you. 5 For many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will mislead many (tfj: DECEPTION😈). 6 You will be hearing of wars and rumors of wars. ⚔️ See that you are not frightened, for those things must take place, but that is not yet the end.
7 For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom, and in various places there will be famines ⚖️and earthquakes. 8 But all these things are merely the beginning of birth pangs.
The rider on the White Horse in Revelation 6 (likely the man of sin/antichrist) uses a bow to inflict damage to his targets🏹. The bow is used at a distance, often hundreds of yards away from its target. It is a ranged weapon, allowing for maximum damage with minimum risk to the one wielding it. It offers the advantage of a surprise attack. The devil’s arrows😈 can inflict great damage, but they can also be defended against with the SHIELD of FAITH. 🛡️ The devil USES mankind’s SIN NATURE to TEMPT and ENTICE us into sin. He often does this through DECEPTION. This gives him the legal means to inflict all sorts of damage with his FIERY ARROWS. Although arrows are not mentioned in specifically in Revelation 6, they are IMPLIED.
Ephesians 6:16: in addition to all, taking up the shield of faith🛡️ with which you will be able to extinguish all the flaming arrows 🏹of the evil one.😈
In contrast, Jesus Christ is seen in Revelation 19 riding a White Horse, but He is not carrying a bow. Jesus’ weapon is the SHARP SWORD that is IN HIS MOUTH. 🤺The Word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword. It pierces even to the dividing of soul and spirit, joints and marrow. It is capable of judging the thoughts and intentions of the heart. 🖤 (Hebrews 4:12). Jesus’ Christ’s WEAPON is the Word of God. As a sword and not a bow, the Word of God is a weapon that is used in close proximity, up close and personal to each and every soul that exists. There is no hiding from this weapon. There is no shielding from this weapon. This weapon will penetrate all the way down to bone and marrow, soul and spirit.
Hebrews 4:12: For the word of God is living and active, and sharper than any two-edged sword, ⚔️ even penetrating as far as the division of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart.🖤
For the Believer, the Word of God brings TRUTH, Joy, and Peace. 💖 For the unbeliever, the Word of God brings TRUTH and Certain Judgement. 🔥
Revelation 19:11: And I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse, 🐎 and He who sat on it is called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He judges and wages war.
12 His eyes are a flame of fire, and on His head are many crowns👑 (DIADEMS); and He has a name written on Him which no one knows except Himself. 13 He is clothed with a robe dipped in blood, and His name is called The Word of God.
14 And the armies which are in heaven, clothed in fine linen, white and clean, were following Him on white horses.
15 From His mouth comes a sharp sword⚔️, so that with it He may strike down the nations, and He will rule them with a rod of iron; and He treads the wine press of the fierce wrath of God, the Almighty. 16 And on His robe and on His thigh He has a name written: “KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.”
In Revelation 19, the sky opens, and Jesus returns on a White Horse as does His army. This is after God’s SEVEN bowls of wrath are poured out and LONG AFTER the Seals of Revelation are opened. At the time of the opening of the first Seal (Rev. 6), Jesus Christ is in Heaven. He is the One opening the seals. He is not carrying a bow, and He is not riding to the earth at this time.
It isn’t until the final bowl of wrath is poured out that we SEE Jesus Christ riding TO the earth on a White Horse.
When does the White Horse of the apocalypse ride?
It is our understanding that the rider on the White Horse rides as the man of sin prior to getting his “deadly headwound that is healed” in Revelation 13. For the first 3.5 years of the seven-year Tribulation, the antichrist is just the “man of sin”. At this point, he is an evil man, a false savior, a “conqueror”, but he is not yet the antichrist because he is not indwelt by Satan. The man of sin does not become THE ANTICHRIST until the time of his “resurrection”, when his “deadly headwound is healed” (Rev. 13:12).
Jesus Christ declared Himself to be GOD through His resurrection from the dead. ✝️The adversary operates as a counterfeiter and deceiver. It is highly probable that the “resurrection” of the man of sin (Rev. 13:3) will serve as the means by which he asserts his supposed “deity”. However, he is fundamentally a liar. 😈 The entity that occupies the man of sin’s “resurrected body” will not be the same individual who died. Rather, it will be Satan, embodying a human form as the son of perdition.
The only other instance in Scripture where someone is referred to as “the son of perdition” occurs when Satan entered Judas Iscariot, the man who betrayed Jesus for thirty pieces of silver, the cost of a slave.
2 Thessalonians 2:3: No one is to deceive you in any way! For it will not come unless the apostasy comes first, and the man of SIN is revealed, the son of PERDITION,
4 who opposes and exalts himself above every so-called god or object of worship, so that he takes his seat in the temple of God, displaying himself as being God.
Luke 17:12 While I was with them, I was keeping them in Your name, which You have given Me; and I guarded them, and not one of them perished except the SON OF PERDITION, so that the Scripture would be fulfilled.
Luke 22:3: And Satan entered Judas, the one called Iscariot, who belonged to the number of the twelve.
We believe that the rider on the White Horse will begin his ride following the confirmation of the Covenant with “the many”, as outlined in Daniel 9:27. The opening of the seals aligns with the BIRTHPAIN sequence presented in Matthew 24, and since Jesus Himself references the prophet Daniel in this context—specifically regarding the ABOMINATION OF DESOLATION (AOD) and its timing, which occurs mid-seven years—it is reasonable to assert that the Covenant plays a crucial role in the TIMING of end-time events.
Daniel 9:27 And he (tfj: man of sin/antichrist) will confirm a covenant with the many for one week (tfj: seven years), but in the middle of the week he will put a stop to sacrifice and grain offering; and on the wing of abominations will come the one who makes desolate, until a complete destruction, one that is decreed, gushes forth on the one who makes desolate.”
How close are we to the opening of the seals of Revelation?
Is there any way for us to ascertain how close we are to the opening of the seals of Revelation? A significant number of people believed the Covid pandemic and the consequent vaccine mandates were an indication that the rider on the White Horse had been let out of the gate. This interpretation stems from the naming of the virus (Corona Virus), which translates to CROWN. Similarly, many interpreted those in white lab coats (pharmaceutical representatives) administering the vaccine💉 as a form of savior clad in white coats. The injection was also likened to an arrow.
Likewise, the virus began in 2019/2020, which is the timing of the ABRAHAM ACCORDS, a very significant “PROPOSAL OF PEACE” between ISRAEL and the INTERNATIONAL COMMUNITY.
While this was a plausible theory, five years have elapsed since the virus’s emergence, and we have yet to reach the midpoint of the seven-year tribulation. Had the Corona Virus signified the beginning of the final seven years, we would have witnessed a rebuilt Temple in Jerusalem and the occurrence of the abomination of desolation. It is also very likely that the Rapture would have already taken place.
It is possible; HOWEVER, that the Corona (Crown) virus WAS a HARBINGER of what is yet to come. The Abraham Accords are on the table and could very well be THE COVENANT from Daniel 9:27. Even if the Accords ARE THE COVENANT from Daniel 9:27, they still have to be CONFIRMED to kick off the seven-year Tribulation.
Because the Covenant appears to be in view and the BIRTHPAINS of Jesus Christ’s second coming appear to be increasing in frequency and severity, we believe that time must be pretty short.
