When God is for you, who can stand against you

On this beautiful and yet cold December 4th morning, as I sit and peruse the morning news, I am reminded of a story in the Bible, a story about King David of Jerusalem. In this story, Saul was still king; however, he was going to be removed because of his sin and defiance against God’s commands. David had been secretly anointed by Samuel to become the next King of Israel. Later, through a series of moves by God, David found himself working as a commander in King Saul’s army. At this time, Israel was at war with the Philistines, and David proved to be a very effective commander, winning many battles for Israel. At first Saul liked David; however, Saul’s darkened heart grew jealous of David when he heard the women of the villages singing…

1 Samuel 18:7: The women sang as they played, and said,

“Saul has slain his thousands,
And David his ten thousands.”

Then Saul became very angry, for this saying displeased him; and he said, “They have ascribed to David ten thousands, but to me they have ascribed thousands. Now what more can he have but the kingdom? Saul looked at David with suspicion from that day on.

The story continues to describe Saul’s obsession with David. Saul grew more and more jealous and insecure, and eventually gathered an army to hunt David down like a dog and kill him. Saul knew that his kingdom was going to be handed over to David, and he just couldn’t stomach the thought. Saul had been anointed king over Israel by God, and even though he defied God and sinned, he just couldn’t handle the thought of “his kingdom” being handed over to David. Saul had his own plans. Saul wanted his family, his sons, to succeed him on the Throne..not David. Saul, often plagued by evil spirits after losing the favor of God, was paranoid and insecure, and somehow felt justified in seeking David’s life.

For many chapters in 2nd Samuel, David fled from Saul’s murderous threats. David had a group of devoted men, his own small army, who remained loyal to him. However, David remained in a desperate situation, always hunted, always hated, always on the run. Saul had charged David with false accusations of treason against the King. David even proved to the King more than once that the accusations were false, David had no desire to do the King any harm, but that did not deter King Saul from his murderous obsession. Although David had been anointed by God to be king over Israel, he was NOT trying to undercut, sabotage, or in any way harm King Saul. David was completely relying on God to create the situation where God’s promises would be fulfilled, and yet in his darkest hours it just seemed impossible. David cried out to God for help, for deliverance from his enemies! What was he to do? How in the world could God’s promises be fulfilled if he were dead, or constantly in hiding? Did David believe God’s promises when they seemed impossible? David was in despair, and yet he continued to CLING to the promises of God.

David cried out to the LORD in Psalm 57 as he hid from his enemies in a cave.

Be gracious to me, O God, be gracious to me,
For my soul takes refuge in You;
And in the shadow of Your wings I will take refuge
Until destruction passes by.
I will cry to God Most High,
To God who accomplishes all things for me.
He will send from heaven and save me;
He reproaches him who tramples upon me.
God will send forth His lovingkindness and His truth

My soul is among lions;
I must lie among those who breathe forth fire,
Even the sons of men, whose teeth are spears and arrows
And their tongue a sharp sword.
Be exalted above the heavens, O God;
Let Your glory be above all the earth.
They have prepared a net for my steps;
My soul is bowed down;
They dug a pit before me;
They themselves have fallen into the midst of it.

My heart is steadfast, O God, my heart is steadfast;
I will sing, yes, I will sing praises!
Awake, my glory!
Awake, harp and lyre!
I will awaken the dawn.
I will give thanks to You, O Lord, among the peoples;
I will sing praises to You among the nations.
10 For Your lovingkindness is great to the heavens
And Your truth to the clouds.
11 Be exalted above the heavens, O God;
Let Your glory be above all the earth.

David was hated and hunted. David was despised by Saul and his men and he was feared by the enemies of Israel. David had only a small group of loyal men who remained with him, encouraged him, and believed in him. This morning, as I look at the news, I see another man who is hated and hunted by his enemies. I see another man who is mocked and spat upon by the entire world. I see another man who is trying to stand up against the deep corruption, against the evil New World Order. This man is constantly being attacked by the media, by the governments of the world, and by many, many people. Like David, this man is flawed, and yet he has been anointed by God for a time such as this. However, this man is not like David, in that he is not running from this evil, but confronting it head on. But wow, how it must sting. I cannot imagine leaving the comfort of a rich and elegant lifestyle, one in which you were well liked, to take on the weight of the world for the sake of truth and justice. I cannot even imagine being the most hated man on the planet. I cannot imagine having your family attacked, your wife attacked, simply because of the way she is dressed, or because of her beauty.

This man has a name like a Trumpet, and he has been sounding off for the past 3 years. Evil people surround this man, on both sides of the political isle, and also in other nations. For the past 3 years, they have continually sought his life…Character assassinations have been his daily experience. Since he was elected, they have tried MULTIPLE PLOTS to forcibly remove him from office. I have also read that there have been several literal attempts to take his life. There were even rumors that his recent unexplained trip to the doctor was because his food taster, his “cup bearer” became gravely ill from poisoning.

Even today, while he stands on the world’s stage representing the United States, nasty men sneer and mock him, sticking out their tongues and drawing back their mouths. They figuratively stab him in the back all the while smiling to his face and expressing mindless platitudes and false promises of reconciliation and friendship.

Netanyahu Indictment Hauntingly Similar to Trump Impeachment Turmoil

From this limited vantage point, it appears that the Trumpet has one friend in this world who also finds himself under a very similar and severe attack with the possibility of being removed from office. Israel and the United States are “sister nations”. In History (approximately 930BC), Israel separated into two nations, Judah and Samaria. I have always felt that the ancient nation of Judah is like the modern nation of Israel, and that the ancient nation of Samaria (northern 10 tribes) is like the modern nation of the United States. One is a Jewish nation, the other a Christian nation. Both imperfect, but they now stand together, united on the world scene. Both leaders are under FALSE or TRUMPED UP criminal investigations, both have experienced character assassinations, and I think both understand that they are standing together, facing off the evil New World Order. Sister nations, one chosen by God and the other who chose God, together for such a time as this. Both nations are divided nations, and are being watched closely by their enemies for any sign of weakness, a time to literally attack. The frenemies of these nations (wolves in sheep clothing) have risen up, through the media, through the very loud voices that drone on endlessly with their lies and accusations, for the purpose to divide and conquer. But what is their goal? What is their “end-game”? Power? Wealth? Control? Who is the accuser of the brethren? What does Jesus say about a divided nation?

As I watch the Trumpet on the world’s stage being mocked, sneered at, and figuratively stabbed in the back, I can’t help but feel sympathy for him and his family. It seems that the entire world is against him. Standing up for Christian values, against antisemitism, he has been ruthlessly and relentlessly attacked from both within his own country, and from without. His wife has also been viciously attacked, simply for putting up lovely Christmas decorations. Several times, literal witches and devil worshipers have tried to put binding spells, and evil incantations on both him, his family, and all of his supporters. Evil assails him and his family at every turn…and I’m reminded of David hiding in the cave. I hope that, like David, this man is also a “praying man”..and that he is crying out to the Lord for protection and deliverance from his enemies. David’s words were written so long ago, and are yet so applicable for NOW.

“I must lie among those who breathe forth fire,
EVEN THE SONS OF MEN, WHOSE TEETH ARE SPEARS AND ARROWS
AND THEIR TONGUE A SHARP SWORD.

I want to tell this man, if God is for you, who can stand against you. David was eventually delivered from the hand of Saul. In-fact, Saul was killed in a battle against the Philistines and David was crowned King of Israel. David’s story, though heart-wrenching and sorrowful at times, had a pretty happy ending. God’s Will WILL prevail, always and forever. The enemy is loud, the enemy is well connected, and the enemy is well financed…and yet God, working quietly behind the scenes, will NOT FAIL. What will happen to this man, the Trumpet, we do not yet know; however, whatever happens, God will not fail. Though evil appears to be winning right now, this too shall pass. If we are truly at the end of the age, as I suspect, then it will be a severely bumpy ride up until the Rapture of the church..and then a Tribulation period for the world. The Trumpet MAY be removed from office on TRUMPED UP charges. His friend in Israel may also be removed. His enemies, whose teeth are spears and tongues a sharp sword, have been trying to remove him from office from the moment he got elected.overturning the will of the people. But again, God Will prevail. If he is removed, then it is God’s Will. God is the One who puts Kings on the throne, and He is the One who removes them. Much of America has turned their backs on the God who has protected them, who has provided for them, who has loved them. Unless we see national revival, prayer, and repentance, it is very likely that God will remove His Hand of protection over this nation, and yet, God still has a REMNANT here, and around the world. If evil prevails in this battle, and removes the Trumpet, then I suspect that will be a SIGN that God is fed up with America and will allow her to fall..but again, all for His purposes. We are at the end of the age! Everything that can be shaken will be shaken!

Ultimately God will bring HIS OWN KINGDOM to earth, a Kingdom that cannot be shaken and will NEVER fall!

As for us, we also must remember that if God is for us, who can stand against us. Even if we have enemies rising up on all sides, seeking to devour us , to destroy us, if we stand with Jesus Christ, if we stand for His values, His Word, His Will, then we also have nothing to fear. Jesus says do not fear man who can only kill the body, but fear God who can destroy both body and soul.

Matthew 10:28: And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. But rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.

Today, as many watch with shock at the state of the world, be reminded that God alone is in control. Evil is rising up, stirring up hatred and anger in weak minded people. Evil grows more powerful with hatred and anger, which is why the media and entertainment industry have been beating this drum so hard. God’s people need to love unconditionally, and to pray for the Trumpet, for his family, for Israel, and for the people of this world. Even if some of God’s people do not like the Trumpet, we should pray for him and not allow hatred or bitterness to take root in our hearts. Hatred and bitterness are a toxic poison that harms us spiritually and at the same time helps the enemy armies grow stronger. Random acts of kindness, love, and prayer do the opposite. We need to pray for God’s peace to cover our burdened hearts. We need to remember to hand our burdens to Jesus Christ because He cares for us. Our battle is not against flesh and blood.

God is a shelter for His people, a High Tower. God will protect, strengthen, and provide for His people. Prayer is a powerful weapon in the Spirit for the Believer in Jesus. Through Christ, all things are possible. Prayer opens doors to Heaven, allowing portals of LIGHT to stream down. Prayer empowers our angelic protection in their spiritual battle against the forces of darkness. Whenever we see darkness, hatred, anger, bitterness on this earth, be assured that there is an unseen force working behind the scenes, feeding and growing more powerful through the anger and hatred of weak minded people. This bad fruit is nasty, but the enemy’s armies love it!

God’s Army is greater. God has thousands and even millions of angels surrounding His children, His people, to defend them. He reminds us that although we cannot VISIBLY SEE His Divine protection in our earthly realm, there are more who are FOR US..than who are AGAINST US.

2 Kings 6:16: Don’t be afraid,” the prophet answered. “Those who are with us are more than those who are with them.” 17 And Elisha prayed, “Open his eyes, Lord, so that he may see.” Then the Lord opened the servant’s eyes, and he looked and saw the hills full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha.

When God is for us, who can stand against us? God is the Creator of the Universe, the GREAT I AM...there is NONE like Him! Yes, evil spiritual entities are much more powerful than us puny humans, and are growing more powerful by the day; however, they CANNOT even come close to matching God. Everything that exists was CREATED by GOD! God even created those who are rebelling against Him. Because God is LOVE, He gives His children Free Will, both in the earthly and the angelic realms. Some have chosen God, others have chosen to rebel. But we need to REMEMBER that God Almighty is the ONLY CREATOR..and the ONLY REDEEMER. Elohim (YHWH/Yeshua/Ruach Hakodesh) is the ONLY true God! Not only that, but Jesus now has the LEGAL RIGHT to take back this earth. Jesus won the Victory at the CROSS…and the devil is doing EVERYTHING in his power to keep that TRUTH from people! The devil is also working very hard to stop Jesus’ 2nd coming, like he tried to stop His first coming! The devil will fail, and ELOHIM will PREVAIL!

Today, as we go about our normal, every day lives, let us REMEMBER to pray for our leaders, for our families, for people’s hearts to be softened. Prayer is a POWERFUL weapon in the spirit! Let us REMEMBER to ask Jesus for assistance, for deliverance, for help in our struggles. Let us REMEMBER that we need not despair when it appears that evil is winning, because Jesus Christ has already WON…and He is firmly and fully in control of all world events, just as He is in control of all events in our daily struggles! Jesus empowers us with His Holy Spirit, He blesses us with Divine protection, and He strengthens us in our “inner man” to stand for Him. Although we may sometimes FEEL alone…we are NEVER alone. Jesus is with us always, and we are surrounded by a Great cloud of unseen witnesses, who are cheering us onto the finish line. God Bless!

Worthy, worthy Jesus is worthy, Praise to the Son of Man! Glory and Honor Crown You forever,
worship the GREAT IAM! HALLELUJAH! Praise be to YAH!
