Do you feel under attack today? Are you being attacked in your health, your family, your finances? In these last days, most of us can honestly say that the attacks have ramped up to unprecedented levels. The devil😈 knows his time is short, so he is going forth with great wrath to destroy as many of us as possible. He has stirred up evil from its hiding places, bringing it out into the open. And still, people do not see! His deception is beyond anything I have ever seen before, as he is now using the apostate Church, the Pope (self-proclaimed “Vicar of Christ“) and other religious figures to call evil good and good evil. 😲 If you are feeling overwhelmed and under attack, Psalm 91 is for YOU! Psalm 91 is the Protection Psalm!
Matthew 24:3: Now as He sat on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to Him privately, saying, “Tell us, when will these things be? And what will be the sign of Your coming, and of the end of the age?”
4 And Jesus answered and said to them: “Take heed that no one deceives you. 5 For many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will deceive many.
EVEN within the christian community, those who refuse to promote the world’s agenda of sexual immorality are being demonized and punished. 😱

When I look around at this world, I barely recognize it as the world I grew up in. Gone are the simple days, when children’s programming was innocent and gentle, when the Church stood for grace AND truth, when people were civil to one another. Years ago, even in the media and government there was civility and common decency towards people with opposing views.
But now, lying, demonization, public shaming, identity politics, doxing, silencing, have become all too common. There is also the social media “pile-on” effect, where everyone wants to comment on a situation and pile onto an already hurting person. Done in partial anonymity, people love to say horrible things to others. In order to cope with the constant onslaught of mean-spirited comments, many people have developed a “thick skin”. But a “thick skin” often leads to a stone, cold heart.
The Bible tells us that in the Last Days, the love of many will grow cold. Narcissistic behavior is encouraged while humility is ridiculed.

In the past month, I have heard of two different accounts where a family member was physically assaulted because they just happened to be in someone’s “way”. A neighbor down the street has a teenage son with special needs who is being bullied mercilessly at school. The attackers recently swarmed his family home, traveling in a large gang. They vandalized his home and violently pounded on the door, frightening the boy and his mom. They wore Halloween masks to cover their faces. The police and school seem helpless or unwilling to help.
People are also being attacked in their health. Health issues that should never happen to young people are happening at an alarming rate. My husband has a coworker who has a 35-year-old girlfriend that just had two massive strokes. She is a healthy young woman who focuses on good nutrition, maintains a healthy weight, and exercises regularly. She is now paralyzed and can’t move her limbs. My husband’s boss who is in his early 50’s recently had a stroke that has resulted in cognition /memory issues. These kinds of reports, along with young athletes suddenly dropping dead, and strange and aggressive cancers hitting younger people, have become all too common (since 2020). The wicked Foux, EXPERIMENTAL “vaccine” has harmed so many people in their health! 😔
The Bible calls the “last days” some of the worst days that ever existed on the earth.
- Devastating wars and rumors of war,
- severe Christian persecution and antisemitism
- financial collapse
- mass deception
- cold hearts leading to random acts of violence/mass shootings/murder/terrorism
- ethnic cleansing
- droughts,
- floods,
- pestilence (pandemics),
- fires,
- violent storms and tsunami waves
- earthquakes,
- volcanoes and natural disasters
All these terrors and more continue to increase like the frequency and intensity of a woman’s labor pains. The Bible says that “men’s hearts will fail them for fear of what is coming upon the earth”. (Luke 21:26).
Anxiety and depression are already at an all-time high. What will 2024 bring?
The Most Worrisome Anxiety Statistics

- People sheltering-in-place reported higher levels of stress and worry (47%) over COVID-19 than people who were not sheltering-in-place (37%).
- Anxiety disorders affect 40 million US adults every year.
- 31.2% of Americans experience an anxiety disorder at some point in their lifetime.
- Over 90% of people with generalized anxiety disorder have another psychiatric diagnosis as well.
- 19 million Americans suffer from specific phobias.
- 6.8 million US adults have generalized anxiety disorder (GAD).
- About 31% of US adolescents suffer from an anxiety disorder.
- 86% of Gen Z admit having panic attacks at restaurants (menu anxiety)
- 14% of people in the European Union suffer from an anxiety disorder.
- The 29% of Americans who say they have been diagnosed with depression is “nearly 10 percentage points higher than in 2015,”
What can we do? Are we to cower in our homes, terrified of what the enemy 😈is doing? Are we helpless? God’s Word is as true today as it was yesterday! Psalm 91 is still the protection psalm!
We want to encourage you today that we, as believers in Jesus Christ, we are NOT helpless!
During the 2008 Swine Flu Pandemic, I fell very ill. I was one of the Swine Flu victims who “took a turn for the worse”…developing pneumonia. While sick, the Holy Spirit led me to memorize Psalm 91. As I struggled for breath, I clung to God’s promises like a “baby clings to his blanket”. After a few weeks of sickness and struggling, Jesus healed me. At that time, I had no idea that Psalm 91 was “The protection Psalm’, but I felt very drawn to it.
The Lord gave me a Rhema Word of Wisdom on November 30, 2023. A Rhema Word is a spoken Word of God made personal to us through God’s Holy Spirit. A Word of Wisdom is one of the Spiritual Gifts listed in 1st Corinthians 12:4-11. A Rhema Word will NEVER contradict God’s written Word. On November 30, 2023 I heard the Holy Spirit say…..
“Read Psalm 91 and MEAN IT and you will be covered.”
When I heard the Rhema word above, I understood the phrase “mean it” to be an authentic belief and trust in God’s Word. God was telling me that Psalm 91 would be my protection.
All of the fearful sights and terrors spoken of in the Bible are things we observe with our five senses. If we are not present to observe or experience them personally or via video, we are “told” about them by either mainstream or social media, or by word of mouth. We hear what people are saying and we tend to BELIEVE them. We have “faith” that scientists are telling us the truth about “climate change”. We have “faith” that medical organizations like the CDC or WHO are telling us the truth about pandemics. We trust that media personalities are telling us the truth and that the videos we watch are unscripted, unedited and genuine. But are they?
God is telling us that we need to place MORE faith in HIS WRITTEN WORD (THE BIBLE) than what we SEE with our eyes or experience with our 5 senses. When Jesus PROMISES that His PROTECTION in Psalm 91 can be TRUSTED, we need to BELIEVE it and RECEIVE it! When He tells us that He will NEVER leave or forsake us, we need to stand on His Promise (Hebrews 13:5)!
The truth is the tangible world that is so “real” to us is passing away. It is God’s Word that will never pass away. (Matthew 24:35). This means that God’s Word is more “real” than the world we live in. God’s Word was true thousands of years ago, is true today, and will be true thousands of years from now. It never changes and it is NEVER wrong. This is good news because it also means we don’t have to be afraid! We don’t have to feel ISOLATED and ALONE! If God is for us, WHO can stand against us??? (Romans 8:31-33)
Charles Spurgeon (the “prince of preachers” 1834 -1892) had this to say about Psalm 91, the Psalm of God’s protection……..
“It is one of the most excellent works of this kind that has ever appeared, and it is impossible to imagine anything more solid, more beautiful, more profound, or more ornamented.”
“The Treasury of David”, Charles Spurgeon
How do we receive God’s protection in Psalm 91?
When we “dwell” in the Secret Place of the Most High and “abide” in God’s Shadow, literally saying to the Lord JESUS CHRIST …”You are my REFUGE, my FORTRESS, my GOD in whom I TRUST”…then God’s promises apply to us!
Because we are taking God’s Word very seriously, we need to understand Psalm 91 a bit better. What does it mean to “dwell” in the “Secret Place” of the Most High?
Dwelling in God’s Secret Place
Given that Psalm 91 takes place in the wilderness and is attributed to Moses, “the secret place of the Most High” is likely pointing us to the imagery of the tabernacle or “tent of meeting.”
Within the Tabernacle, the “Most Holy Place” was separated from the “Holy Place“. The Most Holy Place was so holy that only the Jewish High Priest could enter and only once a year on Yom Kippur. The Secret Place in Psalm 91 is probably a reference to the “Most Holy Place” within the Tabernacle, the place where God dwelt on earth.
Psalm 27: 4: One thing I have asked from the Lord, that I shall seek:
That I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life,
To behold the beauty of the Lord
And to meditate in His temple.
5 For on the day of trouble He will conceal me in His tabernacle;
He will hide me in the secret place of His tent;
He will lift me up on a rock.Psalm 31:19: How great is Your goodness,
Which You have stored up for those who fear You,
Which You have performed for those who take refuge in You,
Before the sons of mankind!20: You hide them in the secret place of Your presence from the conspiracies of mankind;
You keep them secretly in a shelter from the strife of tongues.
In Psalm 90, verse 1, the Psalmist portrays God Himself as a literal dwelling place. In Psalm 73, we see that God is a lifelong dwelling place, a place of permanent retreat and shelter. Continuing with the Tabernacle imagery, The Secret Place, or Most Holy Place would be something similar to the heart 💖 of God.
Psalm 90:1: Lord, You have been our dwelling place in all generations.
Psalm 71:3: Be to me a rock of dwelling to which I may continually come;
You have given the commandment to save me,
For You are my rock and my fortress.
The secret place of the Most High is a place of unwavering trust, a place of safety, a place where individuals who trust in God can live in intimate proximity to Him. The Secret Place of the Most High describes a close, personal RELATIONSHIP with God Almighty. It is a place where we bow our will to His and He protects, provides, ministers, directs, and blesses us.
The Secret Place of the Most High is not a “mystical experience”. It is not even a prayer closet or place where the believer “visits” or “meets” with God. The Secret Place should be our PERMANENT HOME and is available for every person who puts their TRUST in the LORD JESUS CHRIST. 🏡
Charles Spurgeon had this to say about the “Secret Place”..
“Every child of God looks toward the inner sanctuary and the mercy seat, yet all do not DWELL in the most holy place; they run to it at times, and enjoy occasional approaches, but they do not habitually reside in the mysterious presence”.
Charles Spurgeon
John 14:23: Jesus answered and said to him, “If anyone loves Me, he will follow My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our dwelling (home) with him.
How can mere flesh even think to enter such a Holy Place? Love is the key that unlocks the door. Christ first loved us so that we can love Him. When Jesus Christ died on the cross✝️ FOR US, He tore the veil of the Temple in half from top to bottom. This was our INVITATION to LOVE and DWELL in HIM, the Secret Place, the Most Holy Place – in the HEART of GOD. 💕 Jesus’ Love invited us into the Secret Place to commune with God. Our trust in Jesus, bowing our will to His and following His Word keeps us abiding there as our permanent home.
We find safety in God’s Shadow in Psalm 91
Those who DWELL permanently in the Secret Place of the Most High will abide under the Shadow of the Almighty. To be in someone’s shadow means that you are pretty close to them.
What does the shadow of the Almighty mean? The phrase “shadow of the Almighty” is a figure of speech that denotes divine protection and love. Like a bird’s shadow shields its young from the blazing midday heat, God’s shadow shields and comforts His children.
Psalm 36:7: How precious is Your mercy, God!
And the sons of mankind take refuge in the shadow of Your wings.
To abide under the shadow of the Almighty means to live with an ever-present consciousness of God’s presence, protection, and care in our life. Additionally, it means placing our trust in God’s power to lead, guide, and protect us in all circumstances.
We live under God’s Shadow through constant FAITH in JESUS CHRIST, always knowing that we are never alone. For those who make God their home, His presence provides continual hope, peace and comfort in every circumstance.
In Psalm 91 we VERBALLY DECLARE that JESUS CHRIST is our REFUGE and FORTRESS, and we TRUST in HIM.
Because we dwell in God’s Presence, abiding in His Shadow, we can say of the Lord…”Jesus, YOU are my refuge, my fortress, my God in whom I TRUST”. In 2019 I received an audible Word from the Lord whose voice sounded like rippling water. And yet a voice. I heard the word “TRUST” with great authority, love and compassion. God wanted me to TRUST Him with EVERYTHING! He wants the same for you!
Declaring one’s TRUST means that we VERBALLY declare that OUR GOD (YHWH/JESUS CHRIST/HOLY SPIRIT – OUR ELOHIM) is RELIABLE, DEPENDABLE, WISE, STRONG and FAITHFUL! We can ALWAYS count on HIM!
This verbal declaration: “I will say of the Lord, my refuge, my fortress, my God in whom I trust” is not passive but is a determined affirmation of our unwavering devotion to God. Verbal affirmation is important because our words reflect our attitudes and beliefs. Our mouths speak out of the conviction of our hearts. This is precisely what Christ meant when he said:
“…out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh” (Luke 6:45, KJV).
“Men are apt enough to proclaim their doubts, and even boast of them, indeed there is a party nowadays of the most audacious pretenders to culture and thought, who glory in casting suspicion upon everything; hence it becomes the duty of all true believers to speak out and testify with calm courage to their own well-grounded reliance upon their God”.
Charles Spurgeon
God is our Refuge and Fortress
In this section of Psalm 91, God is compared to a refuge or fortress. A refuge is a place of safety, offering protection from storms, from heat, from cold, or from enemies. It is a sanctuary. In Biblical times, cities were built with fortresses surrounding them. When an invading army besieged a city, those who lived outside of the city walls fled into the city to take refuge from enemy troops.
The psalmist sees God as an impregnable fortress that surrounds His people and safeguards them from harm.
Psalm 125:2: As the mountains surrounds Jerusalem, so the Lord surrounds his people from henceforth even forever.
Psalm 91 confirms that God will COVER us with HIS FEATHERS, and UNDER HIS WINGS we seek REFUGE!
A year or so ago I asked God to share His heart with me. As an answer to this prayer, Holy Spirit gave me a dream of my son as a toddler. It has been a long time since my son was a toddler, haha. But in the dream, God reminded me that my son used to cuddle up under my arm to read bedtime stories or watch his favorite tv programs. As a young child, he felt safe all tucked up under his mommy or daddy’s “wings”. At the same time, my husband and I both enjoyed having our baby snuggle up to us. It was heart-warming. When we “snuggle” up under God’s Wings, it warms His heart, and it is our place of safety, warmth and comfort.
Before Jesus Christ was crucified, He said this to the people of Jerusalem…
Matthew 23:37: “Jerusalem, Jerusalem, who kills the prophets and stones those who have been sent to her! How often I wanted to gather your children together, the way a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, and you were unwilling.
God desires for us to place our COMPLETE TRUST in HIM. In, fact He WANTS us to Trust Him. As we do, He will place us under His Wing of protection as a mother hen shields her chicks from predators and the elements. This imagery should evoke feelings of safety and warmth.
You shall NOT be afraid
“Do Not Fear” is a command. Over and over again in the Bible, God tells His people “Do NOT fear”. Fear shows a lack of trust in God. Fear is a powerful weapon of the enemy, but faith overcomes fear. Faith does not mean that we fail to recognize the danger in a situation. Faith means that we DO recognize the danger but have instead made a conscious decision to trust God no matter what.
Psalm 56:3-4 – When I am afraid, I put my trust in you. In God, whose word I praise, in God I trust; I shall not be afraid. What can flesh do to me?
Proverbs 29:25 – The fear of man lays a snare, but whoever trusts in the Lord is safe.
Psalm 23:4 – Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.
2 Timothy 1:7 – For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and love and a sound mind.
Psalm 91 reminds us that when we dwell IN CHRIST and TRUST in HIM as our CONTINUAL REFUGE and FORTRESS, we can RELY on the promises that God has made for us in HIS WORD. In Psalm 91 and all throughout the Bible, God promises His people protection.
What kind of protection does God offer us in Psalm 91?
1. God will deliver us from the SNARE of the TRAPPER
In biblical times, a fowler was someone who caught birds with traps and snares. A snare is a type of trap used to capture birds. The fowler would secretly lay traps to ensnare the bird so that he could later slaughter it. The fowler is a metaphor for Satan, who uses deception and evil tactics to entice us to fall into sin and compromise our faith. Satan uses manipulative people to tempt, gaslight, guilt-trip, or otherwise lure God’s people into situations (traps) that will harm us physically, emotionally, or spiritually.
Satan stalks us as his prey and strikes when we least expect it. He lays a little “seed” inside his snares to tempt people into sin with false promises of worldly pleasures and treasures. His ultimate goal is to lure unsuspecting souls into his net and ensnare them in his web🕸️ until they die without hope in God. Those caught in Satan’s snare find themselves trapped in a cycle of sin, unable to escape on their own. It takes God’s intervention to deliver His people from hopelessness.
The devil is very subtle. The fowler lays his traps in secret. He adapts his traps according to each bird. A fowler will not use the same snare for one bird as he would for another. He entices with pleasure, profit, or advantage. He knows each bird’s weakness and adapts his bait to it. One man may fall into drunkenness. Another into greed. Another into lust. The fowler often uses a decoy to lure the bird into the trap. Sometimes, when the fowler fails to take his bird by deceit, will send out a hawk to take down his prey.
“We are foolish and weak as poor little birds and are very apt to be lured to our destruction by cunning foes, but if we dwell near to God, He will see to it that the most skillful deceiver shall not entrap us.”
Charles Spurgeon
Psalm 124:7: Our soul has escaped as a bird from the snare of the fowlers;
The snare is broken, and we have escaped.
And from the DEADLY PESTILENCE
Psalm 91 offers protection for the “time of plague“. This is definitely the world we live in today.
The Hebrew word for pestilence is deber, which is translated as “plague,“. This is any deadly disease that attaches to a person and is meant to destroy them. One thing that is not taught in churches anymore is that sin and sickness are intrinsically related. This is not to say that sickness is necessarily the result of any particular sin (although it could be), but that sin and the sin nature will always bring about sickness, suffering and death. We live in a fallen world where sin, sickness, suffering and death abound.
However, the term deber (pestilence) refers to more than just a plague; it also refers to nocturnal demonic activity. Deber in a personified sense, represents a “demon or evil entity.” 😈 Sin opens the door to demonic attack.
“This (Psalm 91) does not mean that every believer in every circumstance will never die from an infectious disease or suffer from an enemy’s plot, of course. It means that those who trust in God are habitually delivered from such dangers. What Christian cannot testify to such deliverances?”
JM Boyce
Below are just a few examples of how courageous heroes of the faith responded during times of terrible plagues and immense suffering.
Pandemics and Public Worship Throughout History (calvin.edu)
Catherine of Siena was born in 1347. That year, according to writer Charles L. Mee, Jr., “in all likelihood, a flea riding on the hide of a black rat entered the Italian port of Messina.… The flea had a gut full of the bacillus Yersinia pestis.” With that rat, flea, and bacillus, came the most feared plague on record. In just three years, 1348 to 1350, the Black Death killed more than one-third of the entire population between Iceland and India. Remarkably, the young Catherine survived the onslaught. Catherine of Siena lived—and helped others—during the most devastating plague in human history.

Ulrich Zwingli (1484-1531)
Zwingli was on a mineral-springs vacation in August, 1519, when the Black Death broke out in Zurich. Though weak already from exhausting work, he hurried back to his city to minister to victims. Before long he himself caught the disease and seemed likely to perish. But his work not yet done; Zwingli recovered. His famous “plague hymn” recounts his sense of trust and then his joy at regaining health.

Cholera, London, 1854
Charles Spurgeon (1834-1892)As a young village preacher, Charles Spurgeon admired the Puritan ministers who stayed behind to care for the sick and dying during the Great Plague of London in 1665. In [the] fall [of] 1854, the newly called pastor of London’s New Park Street Chapel pastored the congregation amid a major cholera outbreak in the Broad Street neighborhood just across the river. How did Spurgeon respond? 1) He prioritized local ministry. 2) He adjusted his meetings, but continued meeting. 3) He cared for the sick. 4) He was open to new evangelistic opportunities. 5) He entrusted his life to God.
Ebola, 2015
Orthodox Church of Sierra LeoneDuring the global outbreak of Ebola in 2015, Archimandrite Themistocles Adamopoulos was among his people in Sierra Leon, a epicenter of the outbreak. In this report he writes: “People from abroad constantly call me and ask me: ‘Father, why don’t you leave and save yourself from a potential infection and even death?’ The answer is very simple. For the present time God has placed me here in West Africa. As the shepherd of the flock in Sierra Leone, it is my duty to stay with them, to care for them, to instruct them, to console them, to guide them and to protect them from an evil that kills without pity. Furthermore our Lord Jesus Christ instructs the Christian shepherd not to abandon the sheep when danger comes. It is only the hireling who abandons the sheep in moments of crisis (John 10:12-13). We are relying on Christ’s protection.
In Psalm 91, God reminds us that His Faithfulness is our shield and our rampart.
God is dependable, He never fails. When we think of a shield, we think of a metal tray that a soldier holds in front of him to ward of arrows and swords. Tsinnah (Hebrew word for shield in psalm 91) is more than that, it is not just a shield but an impenetrable shield. A shield that will not only discourage or deflect any attack but is capable of causing great harm if an enemy even dares to attack. That is what the shield of the faithfulness (‘emeth) of God is all about. God just does not stand there and deflect the enemy, He is a shield that strikes fear in the heart of the enemy for the enemy knows if he attacks, he is going to suffer great harm.
A rampart is a defensive wall around a castle. God’s faithfulness surrounds us with protection. God will not be distracted. He will not get busy and “forget” to show up. God is 100% faithful all the time. Throughout the Old and New Testaments, God has proven Himself faithful. If He said it, He will do it.
God sends angelic protection
Psalm 91 tells us that God sends His powerful angels to encamp around those who fear Him and to rescue them when needed. God sends His Holy angels to accompany, defend and preserve His people. These, when necessary, will turn our steps away from danger. Sometimes they ward off the danger when it comes down the path. Sometimes they suggest prudent council. Angels are ministering spirits sent by God to help those who will inherit salvation. They are powerful spirit beings, but they are NOT to be worshipped. We do not command angels. They take directions from GOD ONLY. We can ask God for angelic protection, but we should NEVER pray to angels.
We are in the Last Days. All indications are that 2024 is going to be a turbulent year. As God protected Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego in the fiery furnace, He is more than capable of protecting His people in any situation we find ourselves. This year could bring calamities such as financial collapse or grid-down scenarios. It could bring war. It could bring persecution. It could bring another global plague or pandemic.
The wealthy elite have been very busy building billion-dollar bunkers for themselves. Some are saying that 2024 may be the year of a “black swan event”.
A black swan event is an unpredictable and rare event with an extreme, paradigm-shifting impact on the wider world. Think of the September 11 attacks, the 2008 financial crisis, and other moments of sudden tragedy and panic that echo throughout history.
The wealthy elite are planning for some kind of “event” (their words). Revelation 6 says that the rich and elite of the world will hide under the rocks saying, “Fall on us and protect us from the wrath of the Lamb”.
Rev. 6:15: Then the kings of the earth and the eminent people, and the commanders and the wealthy and the strong, and every slave and free person hid themselves in the caves and among the rocks of the mountains; 16 and said to the mountains and rocks, “Fall on us and hide us from the face of Him who sits on the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb! 17 For the great day of His wrath has come, and who is able to stand?”
We, as believers, don’t need bunkers or rocks to hide under. We have something FAR better than that! In Psalm 91 we find our protection from God! Dwelling in the Secret Place of God Almighty and remaining under His Shadow is the safest place in the world!
On November 30, 2023, I received a Rhema Word from the Holy Spirit, “Read Psalm 91 and MEAN IT, and you will be covered”.
No matter what happens this year (or any year going forward), do not be afraid! Trust God’s Word! Everything we see with our eyes (earthly realm) is temporary and is fading away. God’s Word is solid, permanent, unchanging. Jesus Christ invited us into the Secret Place through His precious shed blood on the Cross. This is the Sacrificial LOVE of God! We DWELL in God’s Secret Place by Trusting in Jesus and bowing our Will to His, remaining in His Word. Jesus tells us that if we LOVE Him, we will keep His commandments.
We can TRUST in Jesus Christ, the Word of God made flesh, the solid rock on which we STAND!
Isaiah 26:20: Come, my people, enter your chambers,
And shut your doors behind you;
Hide yourself, as it were, for a little moment,
Until the indignation is past.He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High
Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
2 I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress;
My God, in Him I will trust.”3 Surely He shall deliver you from the snare of the fowler
And from the perilous pestilence.
4 He shall cover you with His feathers,
And under His wings you shall take refuge;
His truth shall be your shield and buckler.5 You shall not be afraid of the terror by night,
Nor of the arrow that flies by day,
6 Nor of the pestilence that walks in darkness,
Nor of the destruction that lays waste at noonday.7 A thousand may fall at your side,
And ten thousand at your right hand;
But it shall not come near you.
8 Only with your eyes shall you look,
And see the reward of the wicked.9 Because you have made the Lord, who is my refuge,
Even the Most High, your dwelling place,
10 No evil shall befall you,
Nor shall any plague come near your dwelling;11 For He shall give His angels charge over you,
To keep you in all your ways.
12 In their hands they shall bear you up,
Lest you dash your foot against a stone.13 You shall tread upon the lion and the cobra,
The young lion and the serpent you shall trample underfoot.14 “Because he has set his love upon Me, therefore I will deliver him;
I will set him on high, because he has known My name.15 He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him;
I will be with him in trouble;
I will deliver him and honor him.
16 With long life I will satisfy him,
And show him My salvation.”
